Kalina Bogoeva Foundation

Kalina Bogoeva Foundation has been established with the goal to stimulate and support creative and social initiative in the field of ballet and dance. The purpose of the Foundation is to organize and realize training seminars, courses, festivals, contests, conferences, meetings of artists. The major aim of the Foundation is to stimulate and help the development of talented young dancers.


Kalina Bogoeva

One of the best known ballerinas of Bulgaria who has created numerous roles on the stage of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Sofia and in many countries in Europe and America. Student of the notable Bulgarian ballet pedagogue Lili Beron, K.alina Bogoeva made her stage debut in 1954. After that she continued her education in the Academic Choreographic School in Moscow under the world-famous teacher Elizaveta Pavlovna Gerdt.

Varna International Dance Academy

In 1992 Kalina Bogoeva established Varna International Ballet Academy in cooperation with the Varna Opera House and the Municipality of Varna.
Every year it offers specialized summer seminars and classes (theory and practice).  The classes are conducted by notable artists, trained and practiced in the style of the Russian school of dancing.

LITTLE STARS SOFIA 2009

08 - 12 July 2009


New International child’s ballet competition LITTLE STARS was established by KALINA BOGOEVA Foundation.
The competition is under the patronage of Bulgarian Mynistry of Culture.
The new dance forum will search gifted children and will open the way of their development as a ballet and dance performers.
This is the first child’s international competition for dancers between 8 and 16 years in Bulgaria.
The first edition of LITTLE STARS will be held from 9th to 12 th of July 2009 in Sofia.
