Kalina Bogoeva Foundation

Kalina Bogoeva Foundation has been established with the goal to stimulate and support creative and social initiative in the field of ballet and dance. The purpose of the Foundation is to organize and realize training seminars, courses, festivals, contests, conferences, meetings of artists. The major aim of the Foundation is to stimulate and help the development of talented young dancers.


Kalina Bogoeva

One of the best known ballerinas of Bulgaria who has created numerous roles on the stage of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Sofia and in many countries in Europe and America. Student of the notable Bulgarian ballet pedagogue Lili Beron, K.alina Bogoeva made her stage debut in 1954. After that she continued her education in the Academic Choreographic School in Moscow under the world-famous teacher Elizaveta Pavlovna Gerdt.

Varna International Dance Academy

The VARNA International Dance Academy /summer seminars and workshops/ is held in 2010 for the seventeenth time. Every year we welcome children who would like to develop their competences and practical skills in the different styles and dance techniques. The training process is intensive. We highlight the classical character repertoire and its stage performance effect.

Our priority is the encouragement of the creative potentials of the participants by placing them in real conditions for interpretation of different musical pieces, using the language of dance movements. Our basic goal is creating a true actively creative atmosphere which stimulates and develops the participants' dance techniques, as well as their artistic stage performance.

Traditionally, the seminars finish with a concert production on the stage. It is a demonstration of what has been learnt and achieved during the ten-day-long practical lessons.

Parallel to this, we offer a methodology course in classical dance /the Russian School/ for ballet teachers and other professionals. The course is conducted by the internationally renowned pedagogue Assistant Professor Kalina Bogoeva.
