Bogoeva Foundation
Kalina Bogoeva Foundation has been established with the
goal to stimulate and support creative and social
initiative in the field of ballet and dance. The purpose
of the Foundation is to organize and realize training
seminars, courses, festivals, contests, conferences,
meetings of artists. The major aim of the Foundation is
to stimulate and help the development of talented young
dancers.

One of
the best known ballerinas of Bulgaria who has created
numerous roles on the stage of the National Opera and
Ballet Theatre in Sofia and in many countries in Europe
and America.
Student of the notable Bulgarian ballet pedagogue Lili
Beron, Kalina Bogoeva made her stage debut in 1954.
After that she continued her education in the Academic
Choreographic School in Moscow under the world-famous
teacher Elizaveta Pavlovna Gerdt. Later, in 1985 Bogoeva
graduated from the High Theatre Institute in Moscow as a
ballet-master-producer. At the same time she passed a
training course on ballet pedagogy /Jemchujina/ and
another course on ballet critique and journalism

Kalina Bogoeva has 20 years of stage career. She danced
numerous main parts in classical and contemporary
ballets. She had active concert career as well. Her
creative contribution is impressive and rates her among
the most prominent contributors to Bulgarian culture.
Kalina Bogoeva is renowned as an authority in the field
of ballet pedagogy. She conducted seminars on ballet
methodology in many countries and her work in this field
still continues with great success.
In 1992 Kalina Bogoeva established Varna International
Ballet Academy in cooperation with the Varna Opera House
and the Municipality of Varna. Every year the Academy
holds qualification theoretical and practical seminars
in the field of classical dance.
In 1996 Kalina Bogoeva established Margarita Arnaudova
contest for young choreographers /named after this well
known Bulgarian choreographer, founder of the Arabesque
ballet/.
In 1993 Kalina Bogoeva initiated and introduced the
subject Ballet Pedagogy in the curriculum of Pancho
Vladigerov National Music Academy in Sofia. Through 1974
to 1983 she was teacher and artistic director of the
State Choreographic School in Sofia.
At present Bogoeva is director of the Ballet Pedagogy
Department in the National Music Academy. Concurrently
she works as methodological director of the Classical
Dance Department in the State Choreographic School in
Sofia.
Kalina Bogoeva is winner of numerous artistic and state
awards. She is laureate of the Varna Intrenational
Ballet Competition /1964/.
