I have a long lasting and wide experience as a ballet tutor and choreographer. I do believe my reasons, related to young people realization, are essential. I would like to share them with you and to justify my decision to establish a ballet competition for children and juniors in Bulgaria.

First of all, I would like to remind you the well proven fact, that the ballet is an art of the youth. In the early ages the talent and abilities are flashing. However, it is very important for the kid from the early childhood to get relevant and reliable training and to be supported in their performance before a live audience. It is entirely our responsibility and our devotion to encourage early stage demonstration of acquired professional customs, talent for music and expression. In the childhood every achievement is clean and convincing. There are no constraints in expressions or if there are any, they can easily be overcome, because by default children are convinced and must be convince of themselves – they are sincere and do their best and are fully committed.

In the second place, but not being less important, I believe that in our hectic time the early talent revealing is highly essential, especially for the ballet. Children are fully devoted on the stage. Their self-expression and technical achievements are bright and strongly individual. Young performers, in order to become strong professionals, need stage performance experience in their early ages. Certainly, this is extremely important for the proper and more intensive development of any young dancer.

Children are very committed when performing on the stage. They have no doubts about themselves and search for successful performance before the audience. The earlier children get used to individual stage performance, the more active and more successful they will improve later in their teen-ages. These are ages as difficult for the young people as they are for us, their tutors. Stage performance is a joy the kids take pleasure of fully. We therefore need to take care of this feeling and to cultivate it, thus turning it into a professional quality. This is the experience, which later shall give confidence and valuable performance of the young talent.

All these considerations have led me to the idea of establishing this competition. Here the children and juniors will have the opportunity to enjoy individual stage presentation, to stand up for themselves, and to see the effect of their dance and talent from the stage and to learn how to win with their personality. They will have the chance to learn how to succeed.

I seize the occasion to invite all talented children, their tutors and parents to send their applications for participation in this international ballet competition for children to be held for the first time in our country.
